

You can also enable the option of automatic back ups in regular intervals here. eM Client will back up the whole application database into the folder selected in Menu > Settings > General > Backup. The easiest way of moving your database to another device is to make a backup of your current database in Menu > Backup.

This feature allows you to check all emails without having to go through each separate account individually. They can be found in the left pane in the Mail tab, above the folders for your individual accounts. Just don’t forget that you can also use the ‘Download messages for offline use’ function that downloads the content of selected IMAP folders or of the the whole account into the application’s local database.

You can also move messages there so you can access them while offline. For example, you can move or copy your emails there to make space on the server or to secure them in the event of a server failure. There are various reasons for why you might want to store emails in Local Folders. Local Folders are folders that eM Client doesn’t synchronize with the server, meaning their content is stored locally in the application’s database.
